Industrial Electronics: Applications for Programmable Controllers, Instrumentation and Process Control, and Electrical Machines and Motor Cont by Thomas E. Kissell,
Based on the author's experience working with technicians directly on the factory floor in major industries, this handbook/reference covers "all" of the electronic technology found in modern industrial systems, going into the depth required to install, troubleshoot, and repair "complex" automation systems. Each stand-alone (but cross-referenced) chapter explores either an entire system or individual circuits and components that are used over and over in a large variety of complex systems. Features a large number of figures, diagrams, and pictures, and typical “ Job Assignment” s," with solutions. Advanced Solid State Logic: Flip-Flops, Shift Registers, Counters and Timers. Programmable Controllers. Solid-State Devices Used to Control Power: SCRs, TRIACs and Power Transistors. Solid-State Devices Used for Firing Circuits. Photoelectronics, Lasers and Fiber Optics. Industrial Power Supplies, Inverters and Converters. Operational Amplifiers. Open-Loop and Closed-Loop Feedback Systems. Input Devices: Sensors, Transducers, and Transmitters for Measurement. Output Devices: Amplifiers, Valves, Relays, Variable-Frequency Drives, Stepper Motors and Servomotor Drives. AC and DC Motors and Generators, Transformers, and Three-Phase Electricity. Case Studies of Four Industrial Applications. Robots and Other Motion Control Systems. Motor-Control Devices and Circuits. Data Communications for Industrial Electronics. For Instrumentation and Process Control Technicians, PLC and Motion Control Technicians.

Xforms: XML Powered Web Forms by T. V. Raman,
XForms--XML-powered Web forms--are set to replace HTML forms as the backbone of electronic commerce. XForms enables the creation and editing of structured XML content within a familiar Web browser environment, which is likely to play a key role in enabling simple browser-based access to Web services. XForms leverage the power of XML in modeling, collecting, and serializing user input. In this book, World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) XForms specification editor T. V. Raman explains how programmers can create durable and dependable feature-rich forms accessible from multiple platforms and devices and available in multiple languages and modes. XForms plays a key role in connecting humans to information technologies, deployed as Web services. This book begins by providing an overview of the XForms technology and the set of XML standards on which it is built, including XML Path Language (XPath), Dom2 events, XML events, XML namespaces, and XML Schema. Part II profiles the XForms architecture and its components. An introduction to the available user interface controls leads into a guide to creating complex user interfaces. The following chapters describe XForms model properties, functions, actions, and events. Each chapter's increasingly complex examples illustrate the concepts discussed. The final part of the book details how XForms will be used to create a new generation of human-centric, multimodal, accessible Web transactions. A companion CD-ROM provides examples of XForms applications as well as a fully accessible and speech-friendly HTML version of the book that includes hyperlinks to cross-references and the index.

Voltage reference - A voltage reference is an electronic device (circuit or component) that produces a fixed (constant) voltage irrespective of the loading on the device, power supply variation and temperature. It is also known as a voltage source, but in the strict sense of the term, a voltage reference often sits at the heart of a voltage source.

Cross-reference - Text retrieval is simply cross-reference from text to text, hence hypertext. That is, the ideas of text retrieval, cross-reference, hypertext, and the like largely overlap and closely resemble one another.

Component Library for Cross Platform - In computing, Component Library for Cross Platform (CLX), is a cross-platform visual component-based framework for developing Microsoft Windows and Linux applications. It is developed by Borland for use in its Kylix, Delphi, and C++ Builder software development environment.

Electronic component - An electronic component is a basic electronic building block packaged in a discrete form with two or more connecting leads or metallic pads. The components are intended to be connected together, usually by soldering to a printed circuit board, to create an electronic circuit with a particular function (for example an amplifier, radio receiver, or oscillator).

Oil Filter Cross Reference - Oil Filter Cross Reference Handbook of Non-woven Filter Media The increasing importance of non-woven filter media is due in part to their versatility: they are used in the pre-filtration of liquids, protection of membrane filters, gaseous filtration, the automotive industry, air purification, wet filtration oil filter cross reference and many household uses. Despite this, no comprehensive account of these media has existed until now. Irwin (Marshall) Hutten is well-known throughout the non-woven industry oil filter cross ...
